Celebrate Earth Day
Join us at Slayter Creek Park on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for our Earth Day celebration! The event features live animal demonstrations, educational booths, crafts, and a tie-dye station (while supplies last). You can also recycle and reduce by donating gently used clothing and unopened food to local non-profits. Dispose of drugs at the Drug Take-back
Join the Anna Police Department for the DEA Nationwide Drug Take-Back on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Anna Municipal Complex (120 W. 7th St.). This free and anonymous event offers a safe, convenient way to dispose of expired, unused, or unwanted prescription medications—no questions asked. You do not have to be an Anna resident to participate. Let’s work together to keep medications out of the wrong hands and protect our environment.

Looking to try fishing without buying gear? Through our partnership with TPWD, residents can borrow rods, reels, tackle boxes, bobbers, and more—free of charge. Just call ahead to check availability and complete a short borrower agreement. Learn more about the Tackle Loaner Program.
