Parks improvement projects As we continue to celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month in July, it is a perfect time to highlight some of the incredible Parks Capital Improvement Projects that are transforming our community. Here are a few standout projects: Natural Springs Park Playground We're thrilled to introduce a tree house-themed playground at Natural Springs Park, featuring many universally accessible components. This exciting addition, inspired by community feedback and designed to blend with the park’s natural feel, will make the park even more attractive to families. Construction is set to begin in September 2024 and be completed by November 2024. Check out the winning design and more details. John Flavel Greer Park A new neighborhood park in the Woods at Lindsey Place is coming soon! This park will include a dog park, multiple playgrounds, trails, and more, while preserving most of the mature trees on site. Construction is set to begin this summer, and we can't wait to see this space come to life. Pecan Grove Trail The Pecan Grove Trail project aims to connect the cul-de-sacs at each end of Pecan Grove Park, crossing Slayter Creek to link with the existing trail in the Parc Place development. This project is a key part of Anna’s trail system expansion. The project is currently in the final stages of planning and went to bid in July, with construction expected to be completed in FY23/24 Q3. These projects are just a glimpse of the exciting improvements underway. To learn more about these and other initiatives, please visit our Parks Capital Improvement Projects page. |
