Place 4 election is June 15
The runoff election for Place 4 continues tomorrow, Saturday, June 15 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters will elect either Kelly Herndon or Bruce Norwood on June 15.

There is currently a temporary road closure near the Anna Municipal Complex as part of our ongoing downtown revitalization efforts. View the map

Celebrate Juneteenth with us on June 15 at Slayter Creek Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.! Experience amazing performances by the Infinite Arts Group, join age-based knockout basketball contests, enjoy music from a DJ, and indulge in delicious food from our food trucks. Plus, check out booth vendors and grab some awesome giveaways.

Boots and Booms is June 29
Join us for an unforgettable Independence Day celebration at Boots and Booms on June 29 at Slayter Creek Park. This year will feature a headline performance by country music star Tenille Arts, known for her hit songs "Somebody Like That," "I Hate This," and "Call You Names." Additional details:

  • A variety of food trucks
  • Fun activities including a splash pad for kids
  • Spectacular fireworks display to end the night

Provide input on new Anna Crossing Park
We invite you to attend the Parks Advisory Board meeting, during which the staff and the design firm will present the concept design for Anna Crossing Park.

This 28-acre neighborhood park, located off Finley Boulevard near Clark Street and Elizabeth Street in Anna Town Square, will feature both active and passive recreation areas, leveraging the unique nature of the site and incorporating input from the neighborhood. The design and construction of Anna Crossing Park will begin in Winter 2025, with the duration depending on the final design.

Donations needed for Back to School Bash 
Help our students start the school year with confidence and success! Our Back to School Bash on Saturday, July 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Slayter Creek Middle School will feature free school supplies generously donated by community members. Students will enjoy activities like bounce houses, face painting, food trucks, and meet-and-greets with local police officers.

We need your help to ensure every student has what they need. Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Independent Financial Bank 
  • Lamar Bank 
  • Allstate Heatherly
  • Texas Roadhouse
  • Walmart
  • Grace Place
